Custom degree plans allow students to focus on specific areas of study unique to them that they deem necessary for their ministry preparation.

Custom degree plans usually approach a broad major theme from a specifically focused concentration. For example, a student pursuing a degree in Christian counseling may want to specialize in counseling victims of domestic violence. A student pursuing a degree in Ministry may want to focus on Pastoral leadership. Many students have found this option to customize their degree concentration to be very beneficial to their spiritual growth and ministry calling.

How to design your own major

You can take charge of your education and design a degree program that reflects your specific interests and objectives. Students choosing this option will work with a curriculum counselor to establish the courses required. The counselor will help you to:

Define your field of study (the Major).
Set a specific concentration within the major.
Define the relationship between your field of study and your specific goals.
Select courses and customize projects that move you towards completing the degree.
Choose an appropriate name for your degree.
